First week of school!

Shane is in 3rd grade and Kaylie is in 1st grade. They love their new teachers and classrooms. Van Allen Elementary only goes to 6th grade, and this year they had 600 students enrolled in K-6th. That is the population of the town of New Hartford! :) Shane has a large class of 26 students. Van Allen does not have enough classrooms to accommodate all the students so some classes are held outside in trailers. This town is growing like crazy, we have seen a lot of growth in the 13 years of living here. Here are pictures of Shane and Kaylie's first day of school on Monday.

Our trip to Omaha!

Aren't family vacations fun?! The kids all had a great time in Omaha over the weekend. We went to the Children Museum and the Old Market for ice cream on Saturday, met up with my sister and her family at the Zoo on Sunday, and the Strategic Air and Space Museum on Monday. And some swimming at the hotel in between. I am posting some pictures from our vacation.
